4. Compare and contrast sport to U.S. Sport:
Tell how this sport is culturally and socially different than sports in the US (and/or how it may be similar)
Explore the reasons why this sport is played in the particular country but not played in the US (if that is in fact the case).
Try to relate this part to the social and cultural elements of the sport if you can. If a sport is not played in the U.S. do cultural factors play a role?

Consider systems other than what you can visually see.

Objective: Identify and compare the function of the human body across the life span.
Directions: Using a Word document identify and compare the structure and function of the human body across the life span.
In your paper consider and/or answer –
1. Not all answers will have to do with ageing (specifically not old age) In other words, do not just give examples of things that wear out because one gets “old.” EXAMPLE: The thymus gland is fully functional until after puberty, then it begins to shrink.
2. Create a timeline for a human body from the age of 1 to 21. Consider systems other than what you can visually see. What does the body have at 1, at 5, at 10, at 16, at 18 and at 21. EXAMPLE: At age 1 bones have not yet hardened. At age 5 adult teeth begin to come through the gums replacing baby teeth.
3. Body functions– list 1 function for any 5 body system. As functions decrease, are there artificial substitutions? What are they? EXAMPLE: Kidneys: Filter blood. If kidneys lose too much of their normal function, people can go on dialysis machines which help filter the blood in place of the kidneys.
4. List 2 functions that are gender specific.
